After 26 years, Anthony Rodriguez is stepping down from his role as Artistic Director here at Aurora. While he is moving on to his next big adventure, we want to honor him for his role in building this home for art, creativity, and the great people of Lawrenceville.
During his tenure as Producing Artistic Director of Aurora Theatre, Anthony Rodriguez grew our company to be the second-largest in Georgia. He led capital campaigns and crafted unique partnerships that built the Bobby Sikes Performing Arts Building and the Lawrenceville Arts Center, which became the economic engines of downtown Lawrenceville. He created Teatro Aurora, presenting theatre in Spanish to broaden our audience and better reflect our community. And he helped produce twenty-six seasons of fantastic shows for Gwinnett audiences to enjoy and be enriched by.
We can never repay him for all his work, but we wanted to create a tangible way for people to say thank you. By giving to this fund, you are honoring Anthony's legacy to this community and ensuring his impact is felt for another 26 years.
