In Lauren Gunderson’s smart, dark revenge comedy, Nan plans to leave her abusive husband Kyle duct-taped to a chair, covered in meat and honey, for the Georgia bears to find. But while she has him tied up, why not teach him a lesson first? With the help of her friend Simon, a stripper named Sweetheart, and the words of personal hero Jimmy Carter, Nan makes her husband watch re-enactments of scenes from their painful past before the strangely hopeful end. A very funny play about a very serious subject, based on Shakespeare’s most famous stage direction.
